Bronze Saucepan

This is a bronze saucepan made by a Roman craftsman called Publius Cibius Polybius who worked at Capua, in Italy. It reached Roman Colchester just after the Roman invasion and was lost when the suburb at Sheepen was destroyed by Queen Boudica in AD 60.
